I will be retiring this year and when the tech folks in my district clean out email addys, Mine will be deleted. Is it possible to keep my teacher acct, even though I'm no longer a teacher. I hope Y'all realize that old teachers never die, we just lose our class. Anyway, I do want to keep developing teaching tools for those who need an intro to tech tools and tghose who are limited in time. Soooo... two questions. 1. Is it possible to keep a teacher account on Prezi? 2. How do I change the email asddress associated with my Prezi and Prezi U accts?

Your students are so amazed at your amazing Prezi but sometimes you might want to tear them away from your creation to Focus on YOU. In PowerPoint you can hit the B button on your keyboard to turn the screen black. I made a little widget that does this in Prezi. Its free if you ever need it. http://prezi.com/zqgtmhkhvr8h/powerpoint-b-button-emulator-for-prezi/ Im not trying to turn Prezi into PowerPoint but it might prove useful
[Read more]

Howdy folks! Thought I'd intro myself. I'm from Oklahoma City, age 53, a civilian worker at Tinker Air Force Base in the Engine Test flight, working as a jet engine test cell operator (I run the engines). I probably won't be here a heck of a lot due to work schedule. Been a fan of Iced Earth ever since I heard songs from Something Wicked This Way Comes on a 'net radio station. Just got Dsytopia and am very happy with it. Stu has an amazing range. I'm in awe that he can nearly rival Matt's power and Ripper's versatility. I'll check in from time to time, just wanted to say hello to ya'll. Later!
Not sure if this is the correct place to put this. However, I wanted to reach out to the Prezi programming team and suggest that they add a "file" system or organizational system of some type to the "your prezis" page. As I have gotten further through the school year and have created numerous prezis, it has gotten harder to keep track of them all. A way to sort or file them by topic would be helpful. ~KM
[Read more]

Our school is currently blocking Prezi.com on our web filters due to the easy access to inappropriate images by our students. I am wondering what other teachers are doing to keep Prezi available to students without the accesabiltiy to inappropriate content... I teach in a building with 6th and 7th graders that have school issued laptops that they use both at school and at home. Things I have considered: I wish Prezi had built their URL with a path that had a root setup that was specific to a user e.g. prezi.com/ dcrandall /hmx8hma62m2z/scale-model-of-earthsunmoon/ then we could have filters not block those root URL's. - - - > This would be a complete rework the URL generator for Prezi and I don't expect this would change. To have our filter block " http://prezi.com/explore/" - - - > But if students have URL of inappropriate content that would not be blocked. I see that Prezi has a way to report abuse. - - - > But those whom search for these sites are unlikely to report. Is Prezi activily looking for inaproprate content? I use Prezi nearly daily in my classroom and loosing Prezi would be a great loss.

I am sure this is a basic question but I am at the basic level right now in my understanding of Prezi. I often pull information from my PP slides for inclusion in testing-information in addition. Wondering how you make Prezi presentations into a format that can be distributed so that the students can utilize them to study for an exam. I am quite impressed in the ability to keep audiences more involved in the presentation and I want to utilize it more but I teach pre-licensure nursing students and they want every word documented somewhere.

I'm currently a Sophmore in high school and I was wondering if there is a way to print your Prezis without each "slide" being on a separate piece of paper. I am currently working on a presentation for Health class and I wanted to print my Prezi so that I could just hand in everything together instead of handing in parts of it on paper and my actual presentation electronically. So in essence my question is, is there a way to print multiple "slides" on a piece of paper like you can on a Power Point, or do you have to print them one "slide" per page?

A friend introduced me to Prezi just this past weekend. I have already started to use it to enhance my science lessons. I am very adamant about teaching through inquiry based learning techniques. The nonlinear model truely embraces and enhances student learning, encouraging students to question, explore, and discover. I can't wait to apply it to all of the subjects I have to teach! I was trying to put an image in as the background of a presentation I am working on for teaching my students how to write memoirs. I have not yet been able to tackle this problem successfully... is it possible to add an image to the background or do I have to stick with solid color backgrounds?
