Is there a way of recording a Prezi so I can play it offline? Are there any good programs that will do this?

When you finish your Prezi turn on your computer's screen recorder then play your Prezi in full screen and record your narrative. Or wait to do your narrative by pulling the screen recording into Camtasia and record the narrative and add other elements into your presentation.

Second Sue's recommendation. If you mean to download the prezi for use offline, this can be done by clicking 'download'. You will need all the files in the downloaded zip folder. click 'prezi.exe' to start the presentation.

Getting a downloaded prezi to work in moodle is my next challenge!

Don't forget if you view your downloaded prezi you will still need an internet connection if you have any youtube videos or web links. It will still play without an internet connection and cleverly passes over where you youtube video are if there is no internet availability. Good idea to record your prezi if you want to add audio to it - I use jing (free screen recorder) for this type of thing - if you don't need audio I would just go for the download option as this allows people to explore your prezi.

I was thinking of using a screen recorder to record the screen, but I've not had much luck with capturing the smooth transitions that are the hallmark of Prezi. Any other suggestions, other than Jing or Camtasia?

not tried recording prezis myself but microsft have a free version of expression encoder 4 that does a good job. i'm certainly not enjoying endorsing a microsoft product but it does work!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just found this video on Vimeo which is using a product called BB FlashBack to record Prezis. Anyone have any experience with it? It looks like it does a good job.

Are you on a Mac or PC? If Mac, Quicktime Player can record the screen for you.

I'm using a PC. I've now trialled screenr, express encoder, BB FlashBack, Jing and Castasia. Out of them all, I'd say Flashback seems to do the best job. It would be great if Prezi offered its own screen recording solution, as I think it would make the product much more universally attractive.
