thanks Amy, will definitely help

I experienced a challenge last week I thought many of you might have also faced or will face in the near future . . . teaching educators how to use Prezi for their own "Prezintation" uses. In my case, a class of school administrators. I decided to take them through a series of Prezi videos and activities to increase their skills in a hands-on manner. I'd love to see us build a library of Prezis that teach Prezi. Will you post a link to yours?
Hopefully my Prezi will help you get your staff started. Enjoy!

thanks amy. have posted link to your prezi in our staff tutorials section!
Amy - I had just that problem this week. training a group of secondary school teachers tuo use prezi - I didn't get through half as much as I would have liked but enough to get them started and was able to then refer them to your prezi to improve their skills and set a gap task.
thanks so much - it was a huge help.
Hi Amy-
I put together this "Prezi Part II" presentation for use my workshops where I teach Prezi to Higher-Ed instructors and faculty. It touches on some of the more *fancy* styling and tips for grouping. Hopefully it will help someone out!

I'm happy to find this thread, as I'm the main Prezi workshop leader at the University of Michigan. In the past, I have used the "Thoughts on using Prezi as a teaching tool" presentation (found in the Explore section), but I'd like to create my own. My current plan is to create it on Monday for my Tuesday workshop, so I'll be sure to post a link when it is complete. I will also browse through the ones mentioned here, so thanks for those links!
This page was created for several workshops about how to use prezi: http://libguides.wustl.edu/prezi-basics
and the class outline is a Prezi: http://prezi.com/wihadmgmg5n9/learn-to-prezi/

Also, I would be happy to feature it here on Prezi U. Do you want your own category in the library? I am happy to create one for the University of Michigan. Then others could find your prezis by your school as well on top of the curriculum category you upload them to. Wdyt? http://edu.prezi.com/page/site-index

Hi Miranda,
thanks for sharing your prezi! I have created a new category for Washington University and added the prezi there. Now others can find prezis created in your school by category. Feel free to click Washington University, whenever you upload a prezi to the library in the future!

Hi Billy,
thanks for sharing your prezi! I took the liberty of creating a new category for University of Hawaii and added your prezi there. Now others can find prezis created in your school by category. Feel free to click University of Hawaii, whenever you upload a prezi to the library in the future! Also, I would be happy to introduce how you use prezi in the form of a short Q and A. Let me know if you are in!

I will pass word along to others on the team.

It's so exciting how this thread has grown. Keep 'em coming! We're on a ROLL!
Very useful material in this post. Thanks to all who have shared thus far.
The idea of using a Prezi to give a presentation on how to use Prezi arise naturally from the technology, and its how I first encountered Prezi and became interested (that presentation was an excellent one). I have a concern, however, that this method is better for showing off Prezi's capabilities, but not ideal for demonstrating best practices in teaching with Prezi. There is a "meta" aspect of this approach, requiring an audience or group of workshop participants to process the information + presentation medium AND the way in which the presenter is actually TEACHING while using the Prezi: it might only be a personal impression, but for me, anyway, it's too much.
We're about to offer a workshop on Prezi at our own university, which will begin with an instructor giving a brief, sample presentation from a class she has taught (on a non-prezi academic subject), so that the participants can focus solely on what teaching with prezi looks like, before moving on to the informational aspects of the workshop, then a portion where we walk through the creation of a simple Prezi. Not having gone through it yet, I can't say that this will be more effective, but I'll repost in a couple of weeks once we've seen it in action. I'd be glad to hear others' thoughts on this.

I'm sure there are more motivated teachers and instructors out there that have resources to add to this thread. Guess we'll just keep spreading the word.
