Suggestion: only US educators are going to know what K12 means.. As a UK teacher I have no idea what age groups USA middle high etc schools cater for - I'd suggest putting some age brackets on the account types?

I've just joined the beta, and the immediate thing that strikes me is that the educational focus we have to choose are pretty rigid. I am an associate director of a large series of language schools, and we have a wide range of students from 6 - 80! Any educational focus I choose doesn't really represent my real focus. Any chance of adding an ESL/EFL focus?

Many thanks for reading, and many thanks for letting e join the beta!

I got to say it looks great and im sure once its out of the beta stage it will be a big hit. My only suggestion is to maybe make a tuturiol on how to use preziu and put it on the home page. Its really easy to do once you figure it out but for some people it may take a while to figure out. One example is me. It took me awhile to figure out how to submit a prezi but once i figured it out it was really easy.

Suggestions/Comments

  • A tutural would be helpful, including how to make a prezi and how to navigate around the site.
  • I like how the library is broken into catergories, making it easy to find the desired prezi
  • This doesn't really bother me, but I'd like it if the website was a bit brighter Smile

I just checked it right now and it looks great and hopefully will be sucessful. And as other people have said, a tutorial would be great. Also a lot of details, keep up the work.

I love being able to see the other Prezis that educators have made and have the ability to share the ones that I have made.

I wish I would be able at any time to designe such wonderful presentations. My students are almost saturated with the opower point slides.

Suggestion: Include English language teaching within the prezi categories(ELT). Many teachers abroad use this tool.
In addition, accents do not appear in usernames.
All in all, it's a great site and I think it will be very successful.

Im sure that this will be added, but there should be a language selection option and also a language filter

I took the tour and found that two of the youtubes happily did NOT have youtube advertizing! How did they manage that? It's the whole reason I stopped putting youtubes in my prezis. (You can't click off youtube advertizing when viewed within a prezi.)

The adverts on YouTube are ONLY triggered if the owner has decided to turn them on. For example almost all music vids carry ads as the copyright owner has decided to minutiae them - the vids here and any on your own YouTube account will not carry ads as the owner has decided to make them free to air and try are original content.

Hi guys! Firstly congratulations for getting this resource up and running!

The possibilities here will only be limited by our imaginations.  And let's face it, we are a fairly imaginative bunch! We have to be because we choose to put ourselves in front of, immersed in and collaborating with those people we teach and equally learn from.

Prezi allows me to lecture and then let the Prezi loose for my students to annotate and make their own.  Prezi gives them a tool that enhances their learning opportunities and makes revision so much easier!

Prezi is like mind mapping "on speed" limited only by our imaginations so let's be imaginative, let's use this resource to collaborate.  As the saying goes "knowledge is power" with shared knowledge being the ultimate power.

I'm so looking forward to seeing and participating in this chapter of Prezi's development.

Be enthused! Be very enthused!

Nicely put, I have about to finish a prezi and am quite exicted how it turned out

PreziU is a fantastic idea. I love the fact we can now connect better with educators and I particularly like the library section. I read the article from the University of Leeds. The author mentioned that he puts his prezis on autoplay so they can work as e-posters. Does anyone know how to do this? I would love to have my prezi set on a timer, or on a continous loop.
Thanks

Hi people from Prezi, here from Bolivia I want to tell you that Prezi U is great, is very helpful for professors. I have a suggestion, all the prezis to be uploaded should have some bibliography and some justification or specifications about the presentation, to make it more useful and make it easier to find with the specifications.

You can find the "Autoplay" option on the offline and online modes here:

Online:

Offline: to see this, you need to click and hold the forward bottn.

Hope this can help.

Cheers!

PreziU is a fantastic idea! I believe, what today's educators need is connect with one another to share ideas, practices, and Prezis.

I submitted two Prezis to the Library, but I can't find them there now. Has anyone had the same problem? Maybe those who have submitted successfully can help me?

Thanks Prezi Team and fellow enthusiastic and hardworking educators!

Another thing that might be nice to add is a way to make prezi on preziu becuase all i have found for adding them is by entering the url.

November 26, 2011 2:59 PM

What i see that can be done is that a tutorial could be added as many others have said. the regular prezi.com has three tutorial videos so it might be a good thing to add the same thing to this prezi website.

Thanks for your help Maryam! I have been using Prezi for a year and half, but never noticed the autoplay button. This will be really helpful for creating interactive posters etc.

I use Prezi a great deal through my work at NASA and as a doctoral student at WVU and  love it.

My first "upload" got me thinking that it shouldn't be so hard to promote a prezi from within PreziU.

First, it wasn't clear why we have to create a whole new identity in addition to our existing prezi account.

I think it would be much more intiutive if you could connect our accounts so that we can either "share" an exixting prezi with the education community from within prezi or so that we can see our prezis from inside the U and merely click on to add them from there.  Copying and pasting an URL and re-adding our already existing summaries seems redundant.

Also, in Prezi U there are no keywords associtated with an upload, so how will you enhance searches?  My biggest problem with Prezi is that I will make a presentation and make it public.  Then when I am at a location wanting to give a prezi I would like to just be able to quickly search for and find a prezi instead of logging in.   I am hoping that somehow Prezi U helps with this???

November 27, 2011 4:32 PM

Maybe a PreziU exclusive option or for both would be to add clickable hyperlinks like in Powerpoint. This would improve the interaction between the presentation and the students. More and more people are using hyperlinks such as in my high school class. When the ability to make Prezis in PreziU is added, hyperlinks should be added too.

November 27, 2011 9:57 PM

I am not sure if this is on here or not. I have not seen it yet if there is, but I think there needs to be a way to ensure that student prezis are separate from teacher prezis. That way we can see what are presentations for class and what are assignments. I am always wanting to find new ways of using technology in my classes.

I do wonder if there is a way to link Prezi's with an online poster like those that can be created at glogster.

This is a very nice site, it will definitely help with ideas and am glad I'm here in the beta version.

How about making it to where teachers can make a type of classrooms for teachers?
